About Us
The Department of Technology and Community Services operates on behalf of the Board of Community Planning and the Technical Services Board. We are organized into the operational areas of Community, Operations & Meals, and a management team.
The Community operational area is responsible for ensuring that the municipality's current infrastructure assets function over time. This means that maintenance measures are planned and carried out based on needs and allocated budgets. The department is also responsible for the municipality's project management regarding construction of all kinds, with the exception of water, sewage, and waste facilities.
The Project Unit ensures that projects within the community planning area are carried out within decided frameworks for budget, time, and quality.

Your Role
Do you want to lead projects that make a real difference for residents and society? We are now seeking an experienced Project Manager responsible for investment projects (1 position).
Responsibilities
As a Project Manager, you are responsible for leading, directing, and coordinating the municipality's construction projects from early stages to completion. Projects include, among other things, new construction and renovation of sports and leisure facilities, schools, care homes, and other municipal operational premises. You represent the municipality as the client and are responsible for directing and monitoring external consultants.
The assignment includes leading and coordinating construction projects through the entire process, from feasibility studies and design to production and handover. You are responsible for time, economy, quality, and working environment, as well as ensuring that procurement of consultants and contractors is conducted according to the Public Procurement Act (LOU). A central part of the role is to direct, coordinate, and monitor consultants responsible for all or parts of the operational project management. You will report regularly to steering groups and relevant decision-makers.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a relevant university degree in construction, engineering, or equivalent experience deemed equivalent by the employer.
- Has experience in project management within construction projects.
- Has good knowledge of the construction process and contract law (e.g., AB, ABT, ABK).
- Has good verbal and written communication skills in Swedish.
It is an advantage if you have experience working in a municipality or other public organization, knowledge of the Public Procurement Act (LOU), and experience with local investments.
